WHAT IS MAGNESIUM ALUMINIUM ALLOY

Our engineers have custom designed the new special alloy called - SUFLEXIUM™. The addition of magnesium to aluminium increases strength through solid solution strengthening and improves its strain hardening ability. We have developed

SUFLEXIUM™ that is tailored to cover most of the applications in the industry. We believe this new magnesium aluminium alloy sets a new standard both in the way it performs and the way it looks.

Dynamic Usage of ALUMINIUM

Magnesium Aluminium Alloy is widely used in a huge variety of products including everyday household items to aerospace. It has low density, is non-toxic, has a high thermal conductivity, has excellent corrosion resistance and can be easily cast, machined and formed. It is also non-magnetic and non-sparking. It is the second most malleable metal and the sixth most ductile.

Magnesium Aluminium has been the material of choice for space structures of all types.

NASA’s Orion MPCV (Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle) will serve as the next-generation space exploration vehicle. The primary structures of the Orion spacecraft are made from an aluminium alloy and will be covered by an advanced version of the thermal protection tiles used on the space shuttle.

Chosen for its light weight and its ability to withstand the stresses that occur during launch and operation in space, aluminium has been used on Apollo spacecraft, the Skylab, the space shuttles and the International Space Station. Aluminium alloys consistently exceed other metals in such areas as mechanical stability, dampening, thermal management and reduced weight.
